About Team Chip Tae Kwon Do Centers™...

1984...

Master Y. S. Lim began a tradition of excellence in martial arts instruction in Abilene, Texas. His traditional style sparked the flame that would become TEAM CHIP. After 35 years of teaching Tae Kwon Do, Master Lim decided to retire.

1995...

Chip Townsend is chosen as Master Lim's successor. Since 1995 Chip & Glyn Ann have owned and operated the academy.  They incorporate Olympic-style sparring and acrobatic contemporary Tae Kwon Do, to provide a well rounded learning experience for their students.


Many TEAM CHIP Black Belts are nationally ranked forms and  sparring champions. The TEAM CHIP Demo Team placed 4th in their 1st ISKA World Competition, July 2004.
